Are you experienced? Or have you ever wanted to become part of the cannabis/hemp/psychedelic experience? If only I had this list of interesting experiences earlier, I might have saved some time and money! When I was a young lad, I followed the Grateful Dead around the country. It didn’t matter where I was on the bus, the Grateful Dead was going to be there (wherever there was…) sooner or later. The same holds true for these industry expositions and experiences. Most recently, I was in California for a conversation amongst weed-heads close to San Francisco, in Mill Valley. In a couple of days, I’ll be attending the yearly event simply known as the Emerald Cup and earlier this year I attended Hall of Flowers.  If you knew me as an executive assistant, you’d wonder if this was the same person. I got to follow my dreams! A list of this nature goes a long way towards experiencing the scene as an insider — the higher level, not the recreational level, but a place a bit higher up the food chain. This isn’t the liquor business. There are no secret codes to find enlightenment. Success? Ha! That takes time. But, how is this done? You just require an open mind, because cannabis demands it! Be real!

CannaGrowApril 17 & 18: The 10th CannaGrow Expo, the ultimate event dedicated to the art and science of growing cannabis, is coming to Chicago, Illinois, featuring more than 25 cultivation-focused educational sessions led by world-class growers over two action-packed days, endless networking with cultivators from around the globe, and a 115 vendor expo hall packed with the latest tools & technology for growing and extracting cannabis. “A big difference between CannaGrow Expo and other industry events is our focus on quality in-depth education for cannabis producers. Many conferences review industry basics or pitch products and services, but CannaGrow provides education that supports the leading growers, breeders, and manufacturers,” says Jessi Rae, COO of CannaConnections, producers of CannaGrow, DispensaryNext and Science of Cannabis Summit. “Patent your genetics. Explore cutting-edge cultivation and extraction techniques. Expand local operations to serve a global market. That’s how you maintain product integrity and elevate the craft of cannabis cultivation.” The CannaGrow Expo is open to all, 18 , and is intended for cannabis growers, grow managers, extractors, and grow enthusiasts to explore the latest cannabis cultivation technology, tools, and techniques. Pass prices range from $69 – $500. Hosted at the

NoCo Hemp Expo — March 27 & 28: More than a conference – NoCo Hemp Expo is an experience. It’s the world’s most comprehensive hemp exposition and trade show.  We couldn’t be more excited for the 7th Annual NoCo Hemp Expo as all aspects of the hemp industry supply chain converge in Denver at the National Western Complex for three days of collaboration, communication, cooperation and education,” says Morris Beegle, Co-Founder & President of WAFBA (We Are For Better Alternatives). “Join us as we solidify the foundation of a new planet-changing industry.” This is the perfect agriculture-inspired setting designed specifically for manufacturers, producers, retail and wholesale buyers, sellers, farmers and others involved in sales and marketing of hemp-related products. With up to 20,000 attendees, 200,000 square feet of event space and 400 exhibitors, it’s at NoCo7 where everyone will come together to positively impact our future. Oh, and be sure to check out Winter Hemp Summit in January and Southern Hemp Expo in September.

DoubleBlind — Next year, much-buzzed-about psychedelic magazine DoubleBlind will begin hosting events, from Los Angeles to New York. They’ll range from a Psychedelic Seder (yes, you read that right) with the Disco Dining Club to an immersive show with Redhouse Productions, featuring live art, VR installations, and a meditation lounge for grounding and communing. “For us, DoubleBlind was never just a media company—it was a way to start meaningful dialogue about healing, and to build a community of people who care about plant medicines,” says Shelby Hartman, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of DoubleBlind. “We’re so excited to begin hosting events as a mechanism for doing that.” DoubleBlind is a biannual print magazine (pre-order issue 02) and digital media company at the forefront of the rapidly growing psychedelic movement. With contributors around the globe, DoubleBlind covers stories from South America’s ayahuasca tourism industry to the Silicon Valley microdosing trend and the groundbreaking research at leading universities. At the core of DoubleBlind’s reporting are some of the most important issues of our time: the depression epidemic, the corporatization of medicine, and the aching people feel for spirituality or some other collective sense of meaning—all presented in visually compelling, rigorous long-form features, poetry, art, and photo essays. In 2020, DoubleBlind debuts events, transforming these potent topics into community engagements for psychonauts and the psychecurious.

ICBC events are attended by entrepreneurs and policymakers from over 60 nations. “The International Cannabis Business Conference series has contributed to countless successful and lucrative business partnerships that have helped create and shape the landscape of the global cannabis ecosystem. After successful runs in Canada and the U.S., many of my colleagues questioned my decision to bring the event to Europe,” says Alex Rogers, CEO and Executive Producer ICBC. “This skepticism was abruptly quelled as Europe rapidly became the world’s most prominent emerging market.”

Meet Delic— May 2 & 3: “Meet Delic is the first ever psychedelic wellness summit designed to educate while entertaining a mainstream audience at an award winning venue in the heart of Hollywood,” says Jackee Stang, Delic Corp Founder and Creative Director.
